A Boy’s Secret Santa Letter Reaches The North Pole

This Christmas season is not like all the rest, my work shop has been overflowing with toys for months now. Everyone here is busy putting the finishing touches on things. There seems to be more and more good children every year! Here at the North Pole we always keep our Christmas trees decorated and our wreaths on our doors. Everyone here at the North Pole loves to live with the joy of Christmas all year long. But we are always preparing for that special night of celebration – the night when I visit all the good boy’s and girl’s all over the world! It’s a wonderful time indeed.

Just this morning I received a Santa Letter from a special little boy that lives very far away from the North Pole. He wrote to tell me a secret Christmas wish and to ask for a special Christmas gift. Of course Santa doesn’t share secrets so I can’t tell you what this little boy wants for Christmas. But I’ve already checked my list and he has been nice all year long and I know that’s not always easy to do. This little boy always remembers to leave out my favorite snack (cookies) for me on Christmas too! In fact, last year he even left out treats for my reindeer. They get tired and hungry during our long trip to all the good little boy’s and girl’s houses around the world.

I’ll write a letter back to this little boy later tonight. I try to answer all of the Santa letters I get but sometimes that’s hard to do. I get letters all year long from boys and girls that live all around the world. I always write letters in the evening, after Mrs. Claus and I eat supper and eat some of the tasty cookies kids send us! It’s a nice way to end the day.

Believe it or not, I get letters from grownups too. After all, they want things for Christmas and I guess sometimes they feel like I’m the only one that can help. I’m happy to do it. I love to make people happy. I think the good in Mrs. Claus has rubbed off on me! Did you know that she usually brings me a plate of warm cookies and milk while I’m writing?

The only day of the year that I don’t answer letters is on Christmas Eve. On that day I am just too busy. I have to be sure I have everything ready for my long trip around the world. There’s so much to do when you’re packing Christmas gifts for people all around the world!

Article created by Santa Himself. In a recent phone conversation Santa discussed the many letters he receives from children, and adults from around the world. He said that on a daily basis he sends out thousands of Personalized Santa Letters because he realizes that children look forward to receiving them. In fact, Santa Claus said that parents routinely tell him that their Christmas letters from Santa are some of their most precious childhood keepsakes. Santa said that is why he will continue to write letters for as long as he can.

Santa Letters by Marty The Mouse Surpass Letters From Santa Himself

Little Marty the Mouse couldn’t wait to start writing his first Santa letter. After his recent worries about the possibility of being on Santa’s Naughty List, Marty was finally feeling a little relief. His cousin Jingles, who happens to one of Santa’s Christmas Mice and official mail helpers, gave Marty some great tips about Santa Claus and how to stay on his Nice List. You see, Jingles gets to read letters written to Santa, as well as personalized Santa letter written by Santa Claus himself.

It seems that Santa just wants children everywhere to be the best they can be. This of course includes things like school work, helping around the house, and just being nice – but it also means listening to adults. That is the part that worries Marty the most. After all, his school work is good and he always does his chores, and everyone says he is one of the nicest mice in the wall of the big house. But Marty does sometimes disobey his parents.

In case you didn’t know – our little Marty is full of adventure. He loves to explore the big house, but the problem is, Marty is not supposed to venture out into that big space by himself. But if you know Marty, you know that his sense of adventure sometimes gets the best of him and he gives in. That’s why Marty plans to write lots of Santa letters this year.

He plans to build up the momentum of what he wants to say. Marty knows that he shouldn’t start out by asking for Christmas presents. Instead, Marty has decided that his first Santa letter will simply be a ‘thank you’ for all the great things that Santa Claus brought him last year. Last Christmas was wonderful! Not only did Marty get a new bike, but he also got a collection of books about his favorite hero, “Courage Mouse”. Marty wants to grow up and be just like Courage Mouse; this little hero travels the world to find mouse families that need help in some way and then he makes sure they get just what they need. Courage Mouse is nice to kids, grownups and animals. Marty will be sure to add some details about some of the fabulous journeys of Courage Mouse so Santa will know just how much he likes the books.

Coupon Clipping Has Gone Digital

CouponChief.com is setting a new standard in how one shops online. With the trend toward online shopping growing it is no wonder that more and more Internet merchants are offering special promotions and discounts with the use of special codes. This is in keeping with what consumers have come to expect of all merchants; special offers make shopping a more enticing experience. The development of a digital form of coupons was inevitable. And just like brick and mortar shops that offer coupon shopping, the online merchants have to have a way of distributing the coupons. CouponChief.com is the centralized, one-stop shop for these codes.

The concept is both simple and ingenious. No sign up or log in is required and the entire use of the promotional coupons is free. However, by setting up an account an individual can receive alerts via email announcing new promotions and discounts offered by a favorite store. This is the ultimate in convenience for online customers.

The process of using Online Coupons is not only easy and convenient; it is a great way to save money. Online shoppers have grown accustomed to seeing ‘coupon code’ and ‘promotion code’ fields during the checkout process at Internet shops. The problem has been that few people knew where to find those special savings codes. Fortunately, that is no longer a problem. The numerous Coupon codes available for online shopping have been collected in an organized and quick to access fashion.

When shoppers visit ‘Coupon Chief’ before shopping they are sure to find useful Coupon Codes. Visitors to the site are happy to find that Online Coupons often offer a more substantial savings than the typical paper coupon does. But in order to offer all possible savings to its visitors, CouponChief.com also has a program called ‘Pays-2-Share’.

The ‘Pays-2-Share’ program pays visitors for coupons that they find and add to the site. Once enrolled in the program an individual simply logins and submits new Coupon Codes for participating merchants. When a shopper uses the coupon payment is made to the person that submitted the promotional code. In fact, they earn 2% of the purchase price, which can be substantial in some cases. Surprisingly, this payment is made even on purchases made by the submitter.

CouponChief.com was established to provide an easy way for individuals to find useful Online Coupons for the stores and products they need. The website has collected and organized the promotional codes in an easy to find format, making saving money on Internet purchases trouble-free. Free PDF Protection Tool

While some companies struggle to protect their PDF eBooks and PDF documents from unauthorized access, many are protecting their PDF documents and files easily and inexpensively. Largely because they have mastered the proven (but little-known) process of protecting their PDF documents with quick and efficient PDF protection methods.

That’s the opinion of BookGuard Pro, PDF eBook security company, and designer of this new free tool, the PDF Protection Analyzer.

“Small and medium sized businesses and individual PDF publishers today need solid, reliable information on what works in PDF security- and what doesn’t,” says Roger Hall, PDF security specialist. “As a freelance online author and PDF security specialist, I have hundreds of people contacting me asking questions such as:

– How can I structure my PDF security process to protect my PDF so my new PDF eBook won’t be copied?
– How can I get more cost-effective results from PDF security?

“I designed the free PDF Protection Analyzer, to give these folks some of the answers. What makes this PDF tool different is this: it’s not based upon theories or untested ideas. Each of the methods built into the PDF tool has been thoroughly tested, and proven in real-world online book and PDF document launches.”

Unlike many of today’s PDF services, Hall points out, this new PDF process tool has been released at no charge. “A lot of companies and individuals can’t afford to hire online security consultants. And it takes time to read an entire security book, listen to a CD or attend an online security seminar,” notes Hall. “This free PDF Protection Analyzer has been created for them, and takes less than 2 minutes to get.”

PDF protection methods analyzed in the free PDF tool include:

– how PDF passwords may be easily compromised
– why PDF security, PDF wrapping and live monitoring of PDF access is essential for most commercial PDF documents
– where to get effective, free help on boosting your PDF protection

Free 20Mb/s Broadband Boost By BT

BT has announced that millions of homes and businesses are set to enjoy a free broadband boost as BT will more than double the headline speeds for its residential and business customers.

broadband

Given BT is the UK’s largest retailer of broadband with 4.8 million customers, the move, which comes in advance of Lord Carter’s Digital Britain Report, will lead to an increase in average broadband speeds.

Over 60,000 consumers already have the faster speeds through a BT trial and the upgrade to ADSL 2+ technology will be available to other homes in the summer. BT Retail broadband customers already enjoy speeds of up to 8Mb/s. The plans will see consumers and business in enabled areas receive faster speeds of up to 20Mb/s as part of their broadband service at no extra cost.

Based on BT’s 21CN platform, the faster speeds will initially be available from 549 telephone exchanges, serving more than 40% of UK homes and businesses. BT plans to extend that coverage to 55% by March 2010 subject to customer demand.

As well as boosting download speeds, upload speeds will increase to up to 1Mb/s. The faster service will enable customers to surf, upload or download data in a fraction of the time, even when several users are on the same connection. This means less waiting around for complex web pages to download and graphics to upload. It is also good news for BT Business Broadband customers looking to use rich media or boost their websites.

BT research has shown that one of the major causes of slower broadband speeds lies in customers’ home wiring. To address this, BT is also set to offer the BT Broadband Accelerator (BT I-Plate) that eliminates electrical interference from telephone-extension wiring, and can improve broadband speeds and reliability. BT will be giving away the devices free to consumers (subject to £2.50 P&P) and businesses that are likely to benefit. Crucially, this will mean more customers with marginal broadband speeds will exceed the 2Mb/s threshold required to benefit from the full range of new internet services, something Lord Carter’s report is set to address.

Gavin Patterson, chief executive officer, BT Retail said “Unlike other providers, BT is upgrading customers to 20Mb/s for free. High-speed broadband provides a faster and more reliable service that will transform the way we live, work, learn and play. We believe the true value of broadband is in helping customers enjoy the exciting new services that it makes possible. In line with the Government’s Digital Britain review, we will be making higher speeds more widely available.”

In a separate move, BT Retail will begin the first trials of up to 40Mb/s super-fast fibre-based broadband in Whitchurch, South Wales and Muswell Hill, London this summer. Openreach is already delivering speeds of up to 100Mb/s to customers in the Ebbsfleet Valley in Kent, using fibre-to-the-premise (FTTP) technology.

New or re-contracting BT Business Broadband and BT Total Broadband customers in an enabled exchange area will automatically be eligible for the ADSL2+ service at no additional cost. The new ADSL2+ service will be available to business users from the initial launch, and non-business customers from early summer. The BT Business Total Broadband tariff remains the same and includes BT Openzone Wi-Fi minutes.

Waveform Technology Is Now Offering Two Months Free Server Colocation For Unemployed Workers Who Want To Start Or Expand A Business

With the unemployment rate in Michigan continuing to rise, there are plenty of smart, talented individuals from information technology who are now out of a job. Waveform Technology is encouraging those people to take their great Internet start up ideas and form new companies to rebuild Michigan’s economy.

Waveform’s Data Center, located in Troy Michigan, is now accepting servers for colocation through the new Start program. With Start, new companies can bring servers online quickly and have no worries about data center fees for the first two months.

Parishpilot.com will be the first organization to take advantage of Waveform’s Start program. Parishpilot.com provides low cost Internet services to Detroit churches, including websites and E-mail. “I’m tired of jobs leaving Michigan,” said Bill Wilson, who founded parishpilot.com after twelve years in the information technology industry. “I’m going to become part of the solution and start something that can help Michigan grow. I’m proud to join forces with Waveform on this.”

Data centers are where start ups begin. Flexibility and reliability are always important when selecting a data center, but cost is also key for new businesses. With Start, Waveform Technology will provide trusted colocation for start ups and a helping hand in tough economic times.

Colocation is the hosting of user owned servers in a data center to take advantage of superior Internet connections and other support systems such as backup power. Free SEO Tools Collection

For companies looking to promote their sites on search engines and over the Internet, a new collection of SEO Tools has been published by Dixon Jones, the managing director of Receptional through his personal blog. Search engine optimisation professionals are often fiercely protective of all the tools and systems that they use to develop their craft, even though most tools are fairly accessible, so it is always helpful when those in the industry share some of their secrets.

The tools that Dixon is advocating include some “home grown” seo tools and differ from some of the many page rank checkers and auto submission software that still pervades the industry to this day. His Link analyser makes an effort to extract signs of quality from Yahoo’s Back-link data API, for example, rather than simply relying on the back-link count. Dixon Jones said: “To be honest – we have a considerably more powerful system for mapping back-links than this tool, but the one I have shown here is free for anyone to use and has the advantage of being able to quickly compare the relative strengths of two competing websites.

Dixon’s company has also developed a tool that quickly shows developers how a web page is likely to be viewed by Google when it has been indexed. The S.E.R.P.S. Preview Tool” is an SEO Tool that helps developers avoid creating pages that a user will never click on from a search result.

Another tool reflects the modern day approach to Internet Marketing, by providing a simple – but effective way to manage your passwords over multiple social networking sites, In the current age of Internet marketing, it is entirely possible – even likely – to develop hundreds of passwords just to “keep it altogether”. This presents a very real security risk if you use the same password across multiple systems. If any one system gets compromised, one’s whole social network could also be compromised. This tool allows you to remember one password, yet generates unique passwords for all domains.

All the SEO tools are free to use, although some are third party. Dixon Jones is due to speak in Iceland and Ireland in March about Search marketing and SEO. (Ref: Qvswr)

UK SMEs Sell Themselves Short On Internet Shopping Bonanza Revealed by BT Tradespace

New research from BT Tradespace indicates that six out of 10 small businesses are missing out on their share of a £20 billion-a-year* web shopping boom because they are not selling their products and services online.

The new Voice of Small Business report from BT Tradespace shows that 67% have little faith they can find customers on the internet, even though more than two thirds (69%) shop online at least once a month.

The survey found that the number of SMEs with a website rose by 20% between 2007 and 2008. However, just 13% of small businesses consider websites integral to marketing strategy and only three per cent use their site to communicate with consumers.

Mick Hegarty, head of bttradespace.com, said: “Small companies can benefit greatly by exploiting the marketing and sales opportunities afforded by the internet.

“During these challenging times, more people than ever are using the web to shop because of the choice, convenience and cost savings it provides. A professional and credible online presence can open up a world of opportunities and provides a great platform to engage with customers.”

The Voice of Small Business report, commissioned to discover how SMEs can best communicate and conduct business in the current economic climate, found that 92% are aware of blogging but just 18% use it for business purposes.

The research also found that the smallest companies (up to five employees) were least likely to interact with other local businesses with 47% admitting to not knowing the companies in their area.

Hegarty said: “The internet opens up a global marketplace for SMEs helping them to compete and prosper.”

“Free business social networking websites and social media tools like blogging and podcasting can transform a company’s fortunes at the click of a button.

“Entrepreneurs can showcase goods, enhance their online marketing profiles, maintain an ongoing dialogue with customers, and share information and expertise with like-minded companies.”

* Verdict Research estimates that in 2008 online spending by consumers on retail purchases rose by a substantial 32% to £19.4bn. With Internet access growing and users purchasing more frequently and more heavily online, this strong growth is set to continue, albeit at a more subdued rate. By 2012, online retail is set to reach £42.4 billion, 12.4% of total online spending.

Since then the contextual platform has rapidly grown from 30,000 uniques per month back in its early days during 2006 to over 1 million unique visitors per month these past months of 2008.

The successful formula seems to be simple yet very effective: the higher the number of small to mid level sites’ content areas contextually linked in LW’s platform – the higher the number of contextually targeted unique visitors shared among those web sites linked in.

The results: More than 4.5 million contextually targeted unique visitors have effectively been shared among the web sites contextually linked in during the entire 2007. This year the figures seem even better and the site is currently on track to surpass the 10M uniques mark for the entire 2008. Small to mid level sites are really benefiting from having their web sites, pages and content areas contextually linked in LinkedWords’ massive contextual platform built upon 38 Million English words, phrases and whole sentences organized into semantic structures from contextual paths to deep meaningful categories.

What does LinkedWords do after all?

LinkedWords (LW) is an innovative contextual platform built upon millions of English words and phrases organized into contextual categories, paths, and semantic URLs whose mission is to maximize contextual linking among web sites across the Web. Since its launch in June 2006 LW’s concept has essentially proven to be very effective vehicle in helping web sites getcontextually linked on a content area level so thatInternet users and smart robots discover their information in context. Correct in-text contextual linked words (hyper links) help our platform, 3rd party sites and semantic search engines all direct relevant Internet users to the web sites contextually linked in.

1)
Once your site is contextually connected with LW’s platform (by hyper-linking strategic words and phrases in the texts of your site to the same words/phrases at LW within the appropriate categories and contextual paths) it helps us send you targeted traffic from what the platform’s reach is – 4.5M for the entire 2007 and 5M for the first 4 months of the 2008;
2)
It also helps contextually connected web sites through LW drive precisely targeted traffic among themselves by connecting content areas with the same context around Web anytime other sites link to the same words/phrases at LW from within the same or highly relevant context;
3)
It guides software agents and algorithmic robots discover (your) information in context. Contextual categories, paths, semantic URLs and in-context hyper-links are format that can be read, understood and used by software agents, thus permitting them to find, classify and organize your information in context on Web;
4)
It helps common users find relevant information (could be yours) on-demand, in the context of the subject they are reading around the Web, by clicking on the same contextually… linked words! Visitors coming from static in-context hyper-links inside meaningful text contextually relevant to your content are highly likely to be targeted at the highest precise level possible;
5)
And the last but not the least, it is FREE for your web site to contextually connect to the LW’s platform and start getting targeted traffic, today.

Ok, but how do I contextually link my site to LW’s platform? After getting familiar with how it’s done you can browse or search the 38,050,000+ English words-, phrases- and sentences-based pages and categories organized into contextual paths, find the strategic ones for your web site / content and get then contextually linked with. Small to mid-level web publishers looking to improve the visibility and increase the targeted traffic of their web sites can make as many as possible contextual links through LW’s platform. Alternatively, practical examples of already linked words can anytime be seen on the site’s home page.

The last, but not the least, LW is all about contextual information therefore to assure best results make sure 1) the context of your page, in which you make your linked words, matches the contextual path to the words/phrases you make the contextual links to at LW’s platform, and 2) you link only words/phrases that grammatically belong to and are organically found within sentences inside your text and these linked words are surrounded by meaningful content otherwise no contextual connections can be created, which yields no results and is ground for deletion. Proper contextual paths/categories and in-text linked words yield better contextual results. If no words or phrases are found for your specific content, or they are not in the right contextual paths/categories, you can always create your own words and phrases in the most appropriate paths/categories to match your page’s context.
