The Blockchain Ecosystem is Entering Maturity: RedCab and WishKnish Collaborate to Scale the “Uber of Egypt”

Washington, DC, USA, 2018-Jun-13 — /EPR Internet News/ — The 1990’s saw an internet boom where anything that had a “dot com” at the end was golden. Soon enough though, people began to wake up and realize that unless the “dot coms” became easy to use and universally applicable, all those fever dreams of internet enthusiasts would forever remain just that – dreams. Eventually, email communication matured, America Online begat many long-distance romances (and even a famous rom-com), and MySpace became a worldwide phenomenon.

Now, in 2018, we are finding ourselves in the midst of a similar era – complete with blazing-fast growth and unprecedented opportunities. And once more, the blockchain enthusiasts’ dreams are crashing against real-world usability and adaptability challenges.

And that’s exactly why the newly-announced partnership between Cairo-based RedCab and Washington DC-bredWishKnish stands to bring decentralized commerce another step (or leap) closer to full retailization, putting a friendly, human face on a set of often-complicated technologies and making them accessible to… well, literally anyone.

Whether it’s a couple on a romantic date searching for a cab, or a grandmother with a bad back looking for someone to deliver her groceries and medicine, or even a tourist hoping to use their home currency to make a local purchase, the process needs to be quick, simple, and coupled with a coin-agnostic settlement solution to match.

“In the current climate of technology, sellers and customers alike, they want efficiency”, shares Alisa Gus, CEO of WishKnish Corp. “They want to be able to transact seamlessly and transparently with transactions being approved in a timely fashion – and with fees that don’t hinder the use of crypto currencies. That’s why our partnership with Red Cab makes so much sense – we both seek to bring blockchain to the everyday consumer who wants a timely and safe fulfillment of their order.”

The latest statistics shows a drastic reduction in patience for customers expecting deliveries of any goods and services ordered online, and while the blockchain-powered businesses seek specifically to reduce the inefficiencies inherent in legacy infrastructures, the way to onboard customers and get them comfortable with a new paradigm is a rarely-explored concept.

“We are bringing the use of blockchain to the masses, so all can participate. WishKnish is a platform to deploy and scale your business rapidly across the US and globally”, explains WishKnish COO, Michael Kapoor. “Simply put, we make it easy.”

RedCab CEO, Mohamed Mousa, agrees. “The partnership between RedCab and WishKnish opens infinite opportunities of collaboration in marketing using machine learning, payment solutions and platform development.”

With exciting marketing and P2P options opening for the companies entering this partnership, the future of retailized blockchain settlement and commerce is now looking a lot brighter.

Google To Move Underwater And Take Internet Surfers For A Dive, Says SEO Company SachaMango

From September, the Catlin Seaview Survey, run by the University of Queensland in conjunction with insurers the Caitlin Group, will take to the water to conduct 360 degree panoramic filming of the greatest reef on earth, with Google making all 50,000 images available on Google Results, Google Earth and Google Maps through a new feature in Panaramio. There will also be a dedicated YouTube channel and live streams of the expedition team at work.

Professor Hoegh-Guldberg, Director of the Global Chane Institute and Chief Scientist on the project, said “The Catlin Seaview Survey comprises a series of studies which will reveal to the public one of the last frontiers on Earth: the oceans.

“For the first time in history, we have the technology to broadcast the findings and expedition through Google. Millions of people will be able to experience the life, the science and the magic that exists under the surface of our oceans. This project is very exciting.”

The survey will take place in three stages; a shallow reef survey of 20 sites across the2300km of the reef, a deep water survey using robots to depths of 30-100 metres, and finally a mega-fauna survey that will explore how green turtles, tiger sharks and manta rays migrate in response to ocean temperatures.

A spokesperson for SEO Company SachaMango Media, said: “This is a great example of how technology can be used to not only to help make ground-breaking research a reality, but also to educate and inspire the public to learn more about the underwater world around us. It forms an important link between scientific knowledge and public awareness, and gives people an opportunity to see rare sites that they might never get to see unless they actually visited Australia and went underwater themselves. The project will allow us all to go for a virtual dive without ever leaving the comfort of our own armchairs!

The survey is set to begin in September, although the project’s website already has some images from initial equipment testing and a demo of how the panaramio images will be viewed. However, there are already plans underway to document some of the most important oceans in the rest of the world.

“It’s no surprise that Google has got involved,” said the spokesperson.” As the biggest occupier of search space in the UK – some 93% – and with the features like Google Results, Earth and Maps already popular with the public, it makes sense they should be the partner of choice to develop the applications needed on its advanced platforms to view the incredible images that will come from the project.”

SEO Experts QueryClick Welcome News That Britain Leads the Way In Online Shopping

In a report carried out by the US consultancy group Boston Consulting, it has been revealed that the UK is a global leader in the field of e-commerce, with the highest online spend per capita in the world. The internet has contributed approximately £100bn – 7.2% of GDP– to the British economy in 2009, and represents the second largest online advertising spend after the USA.

According to search engine optimisation experts QueryClick, the dominance of the UK in the e-commerce sector has been borne out of a growing tendency of the British public to utilise online shopping services due to a marked desire to receive value for money.

“Many people in the UK feel they are able to get a better deal online, and often this is the case. The atmosphere of economy in Britain drives many to seek out better value for money via online shopping. The rise in dominance of the world of e-commerce has resulted in a greater level of competition which, for us, equates to a greater opportunity to offer our services in a region in which we are market leaders.”

The internet as an independent sector would be classed as the fifth largest industry in Britain, just behind the financial services, which accounted for 9% of GDP in 2009. The BCG study, aptly entitled The Connected Kingdom, discovered that internet companies in the UK employ over 250,000 staff, with many of these positions made available by various SMEs.

Co-author of the report and partner at BCG, Paul Zwillenberg, provided an insight into the report’s findings:

“Everyone thinks the global Silicon-Valley-based companies are driving growth, but this report makes clear that in the UK it is coming from the ‘mom and pop’ businesses. They now have global footprints, they are selling to the ‘long tail’ and they are making their businesses more efficient.”

The driving force behind the lead status of the UK for e-commerce stems from the notable amounts of money spent by Brits online. Research by eMarketer tells us that some 28.5 million Britons make online purchases, whilst around 40% partake in online shopping at least once a month, spending on average £71 monthly.

All this has come despite the relatively slow broadband speeds experienced within the UK, as well as the recent recession, in which, as SEO company QueryClick points out, online advertising spend continued to grow YOY despite the overall contraction in advertising expenditure.

Technology Adoption Fuels Recovery Tipping Point For UK SMEs

According to research from BT Business, supported by the Design Council and Prince’s Trust, small businesses at the forefront of technology adoption have been the least impacted by the recession, with those most reluctant to bring in new technology suffering the most. Companies with a positive attitude to technology adoption had a 69% better than average experience of the recession, whereas technology laggards suffered a 34% worse recession experience than the average.

The survey was conducted by Vanson Bourne on behalf of BT Business and included responses from more than 7,200 small businesses across the UK.

The 2009 Business Pulse report is the UK’s largest survey of SMEs this year. The survey shows widespread recognition of the importance of technology in reducing costs and increasing efficiency and competitiveness. 30% of businesses said that they have saved money through using technology, 32% use technology to network and obtain advice and 28% have found more customers through its use. Nearly one in five cited the use of technology to support flexible working as having one of the most significant impacts on how they have managed the recession.

The Business Pulse survey identified the positive steps firms have taken to manage the downturn. Nearly twice as many technology innovators have seen an increase in turnover of 10+% compared to those small businesses reluctant to embrace new technology, the majority of which have seen their turnover decrease since the recession began.

Mick Hegarty, strategy director, BT Business said: “The small business community has fought bravely to survive the downturn. Our findings show that many small businesses believe we are now at a tipping point with a recovery almost upon us. We can also see that now more than ever technology has a critical role to play in the future success of these businesses, helping them to find new customers, market themselves more effectively and reduce costs. Investing in better technology is emerging as a measure of success in the future for many businesses.”

In terms of the technologies having the biggest impact, 61% said faster broadband speeds have had a positive impact on their business. Better web sites, better e-commerce and mobile devices were also particularly beneficial. More than 1 in 10 small businesses are looking for more advice and support on using technology to manage their business.

Smaller organisations are also increasingly turning to social media to improve the way they operate with one in five respondents turning to support forums, Twitter and blogs to market their business and attract and retain customers.

Lord Digby Jones, said, “The Business Pulse highlights that optimism is on the rise. Equipping firms with the right technology and support will help tip the economy from recession onto the road to recovery in 2010.”

Full findings of the Business Pulse will be revealed in Small Business Week 2009 and debated by a business leadership panel including business experts Peter Jones and Lord Digby Jones at the launch.

National SEO , Global SEO – Mirror, Mirror on the Web, Who’s the Fairest of Them All?

That’s what we say everyday, when peering into our looking glass of this information age: our computer monitors: “Who’s the fairest of them all?” In other words, whose website is #1, or at least on Page 1 of Google, the juggernaut of the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) world? One of the technologies used by one of the leaders in National SEOand Global SEO and in their own backyard, Denver SEO, USWebCentral has one of the highest technologies available these days: Video SpokesPerson on your website. Another aspect is how to obtain more “square footage” high on search engine results pages.

What is a Video SpokesPerson? It is a filmed person, walking and talking on your website, in a 30 second commercial/ introduction, superimposed right onto the homepage of a website, or on any webpage. The SpokesPerson discusses the most important aspects of a company’s mission, presenting it in a compelling manner that is hopefully interesting to potential clients. The desire is that the SpokesPerson’s presentation will create a Call To Action, resulting in the potential client phoning or e-mailing the owner of the website to do business.

Having a Video SpokesPerson is one of the coolest technologies you can have these days. “Seeing their Video SpokesModel on their Denver web design site, immediately convinced me we had the right website and SEO consultant,” said Rand Soellner AIA, of Rand Soellner Home Architect, a leading custom home architect that engaged USWebCentral’s services earlier this year, “Actually seeing something different and cutting edge that works, that actually sets your website on a higher level of professionalism, now that’s the sort of thing that helps your website elevate in people’s minds and creates more clicks and therefore a higher ranking on search engines.”

Also, as an architect, Rand Soellner Architect deals in square footage of buildings and used this to describe the recent success of his revamped website with USWebCentral’s help: “We have a series of press releases about various hot topics and speak to those issues in which we are recognized leaders of the industry, like Green Home Architects, for instance. I have noticed that when I type in certain search terms, that not only do 1, 2 or 3 of my press releases pop up on page 1 or page 2 of Yahoo or Google, so does my main website, quite often. In other words, I own from 20% to 30% square footage of the organically searched results on page 1 and /or page 2, which is huge in SEO circles, I am told.”

Scott Carvin of USWebCentral agrees, getting a kick out of the term “Page 1 square footage percentage ownership” to describe what he is doing for his clients. “I started this trend of the Video SpokesPerson to make a difference, and it’s working. We are leaders in this technology. We actually digitally film everything right here in our own high-tech studio, and we have about 50 professional actors and anchor people and models on call, all of whom present themselves and our clients well. We allow our clients to pick the talent they want, or they can personally be the star of their own show, right there on their own website.”

Creating as much square footage ownership of Page 1 is Carvin’s mission, which he talks about like an impassioned evangelist, “I want my clients to succeed. If they do, they keep paying me to help their websites rank high, and I get new clients who want that kind of success, so that’s a win-win for all of us. We also provide a multi-pronged press release service that allows us to launch multiple press releases for clients, which will help accomplish the obtaining of the additional square footage on page1 and page 2 search engine results. If possible, we want our client to own the entire first page of Google search results, meaning that our clients, in their industry, are most of what people see, when searching for what our clients do.”

Carvin knows that owning an entire page on search results is a Nirvana-like utopian result that is not likely, but he has seen something near this with some of his clients’ search results. He is a client advocate whose desire is to place them on a pedestal for the whole world to see. Check out the Denver search engine optimization company online!

Bigmouthmedia Has Responded To Google’s Decision To Open Up Its Adsense System To Third Party Networks By Stating That If Successful, The Move Will Change The Shape Of The Online Display Advertising Industry Forever

Under the terms of the policy change, advertising networks that have traditionally focused activity on big brand sites will now have access to Google’s extensive network of blogs, forums and websites. Opening up a potential new revenue stream for thousands of site operators worldwide, the move underlines the search giant’s determination to extend its reach beyond text advertising and into the world of display.

“This is an event that should make all intelligent publishers and advertisers think hard about their activities. Google is clearly determined to make a serious impact upon the display sector and if this move works, their dominance over online advertising will be extended,” said Lyndsay Menzies, Chief Operations Officer at bigmouthmedia.

“Traditional ad buyers will face a new world if Google manage to make this work. They’ll be looking at an environment where site owners can block entire networks if they don’t perform or can block specific advertisers. Display will be less about big deals and negotiating with decision makers and will become much more like search marketing in terms of its scientific and performance led nature.”

Welcoming Google’s insistence that only networks that meet their privacy, speed and quality guidelines will be included in the expanded AdSense, bigmouthmedia believes that the move will require significant changes to the thought process behind a display campaign. Micro-management will become more important as individual publishers are given the opportunity to opt out of entire ad networks or ban ads from certain sites.

“This is a very interesting move which will work if the thousands of AdSense publishers out there support the move. If there’s enough demand from the AdSense publisher community then ad networks will certainly not want to pass on the opportunity,” said Andrew Girdwood, Bigmouthmedia’s Head of Search.

“We put up an early Alpha-version of Bizwiki.com to test it on the web in December 2008, and already traffic levels have grown to several hundred thousand users per month!,” said Bizwiki co-founder Matt Aird. “There is definitely a strong demand for the sort of information a Web 2.0 business site can deliver, and the increasing amount of users on the site provides a compelling motivation for businesses to get involved in adding and editing their listings.”

“Today’s launch is officially a fully-functional beta, but we already have several hundred thousand pages on the site, with more being added each day. We’ve tried to take ideas and concepts from some of the most successful user-created websites in the world, such as Wikipedia and the Open Directory Project, and improve them to where the ‘anyone can edit’ principles of a wiki can be used in a business-environment. The biggest single difference is probably that our site is built in a consistently structured format, allowing us to rapidly scale-up the amount of information and also give our users an easy way to search the site.”

The Bizwiki difference:

• It’s free – Unlike many established publishers that charge for inclusion, Bizwiki is free to search, free to edit and free for companies to list on.
• It’s editable – The ‘anyone-can-edit’ approach is a challenge to frequently the out of date records of conventional printed Business Directories.
• It’s a wiki – The wiki approach allows far more depth of information about each business to be compiled than anything conventionally available.
• It’s structured – Bizwiki is built using structured data, allowing reusability of information, bulk updates from chambers of commerce or webspiders, and an easy search experience for users.

Bizwiki was built by industry-veterans with years of business directory and meta-search experience behind them, including Keith Hinde, Matt Aird, Craig Sefton and Arthur Jenkins who between them have helped develop directory and search products for Infospace, local directory publisher Thomson Directories, TradePage and Webcrawler.

Bigmouthmedia Welcomes The New Search Partnership Between Yahoo And Microsoft’s Bing Search Engine, Stating That The New Arrangement Could Rejuvenate Competition In A Market Currently Dominated By Google

Although details of the deal are as yet unclear, reports from numerous credible news outlets worldwide suggest that after many months of negotiation, the global giants are set to unveil an agreement that will see Yahoo sell search ads under Microsoft’s nascent Bing brand. While estimates of the global market share the partnership will hold vary from 12% to 30%, Europe’s largest independent digital marketing agency believes that the news will have a positive impact upon the industry.

“It’s been 18 months since the rumour mill first started touting the possibility of a deal involving Yahoo and Microsoft, and the industry as a whole will be delighted to see what’s become the search business’ longest-running soap opera finally approaching a conclusion. The devil will be in the detail, but given the alarming dominance that Google has held over the market for so long, the prospect of a serious challenge to their position is good news for everyone,” said Lyndsay Menzies, Chief Operations Officer at bigmouthmedia.

“Although the impact in the UK will be minimal, with the combined entity still only accounting for a market share of around 5%, competition in any market is good for consumers. If the partnership succeeds in growing their market share still further, the renewed challenge could force Google to become more competitive.”

With the precise details of the agreement still a closely guarded secret, the news that Yahoo has finally succumbed to Microsoft’s advances has spawned widespread speculation over the deal’s possible ramifications. While the prospect of a serious competitor to Google’s Adwords system is being touted as a move that could help push PPC advertising prices downwards, other commentators have suggested that the deal could force the search giant to reconsider its policy against paying commission to partner agencies.

“There are still more questions than there are answers about this deal, but If Yahoo’s paid search ads are powered by Bing then we will have another credible search engine to consider for paid search budgets. That may result in some instability as bid management platforms adapt to cope with the new landscape, but it will help keep cost-per-click prices down,” said Andrew Girdwood, bigmouthmedia’s Head of Search.

“But if Bing is only going to supply Yahoo with organic results then it still means Yahoo is out of the search game. They’ll not be developing their search engine, are unlikely to return to it and will in essence become an ad management platform – the long term effects of which remain to be seen.”

Mr-SEO, a U.S. based company that specializes in search engine optimization and internet marketing, has introduced four affordable seo starter packages to help businesses cope with the strained economy.

Launched in 2004, the mission of Mr-SEO has been–and remains–to offer top quality, affordable SEO and online marketing services. With its high quality customer service and standards of performance, the company is dedicated to help protect businesses f r o m the “too good to be true” types of SEO offerings that will hurt a company’s standing in the search engine rankings rather than help them.

President and owner Greg Gaskill knows that businesses need to ramp up marketing efforts during slow times, and slow times are often when they can least afford it. He and his team have made it their business to help companies thrive in the current hostile economic environment. However, he also knows that there is no such thing as “instant SEO” or “automated secret weapons” of online marketing, therefore these Business Starter Packages incorporate the same proven principles used in larger projects, but on a smaller scale. Although smaller in scope, these targeted services produce significant results – results that create a solid foundation to continue to grow f r o m which can mean the difference between survival and failure in tough times.

These new packages offer businesses the same award-winning Mr-SEO quality including the company’s Social Media Marketing, Blogging with Ghostwriter, Pay Per Click Advertising, and Search Engine Optimization packages, designed to get businesses into the top search engine rankings ethically and for long term success with affordable SEO and online marketing strategies.

One of the best features of Mr. SEO’s offerings is the mix-and-match option. Businesses can purchase any combination of service packages to customize the marketing to their individual needs and budget. This flexibility gives small businesses the power to:
