Entrepreneur Launches Rocket hub campaign to raise $58,000 CAD to fund Career Matchmaker, a career and job search app for iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry.

Calgary, AB, Canada, August 28, 2015 — /EPR INTERNET NEWS/ — With a passion for technology and apps, Canadian entrepreneur Shane Vogelgesang recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $58,000 CAD to fund his job search app concept, Career Matchmaker. When fully funded, the Career Matchmaker app will help job seekers identify careers that best match their interests and will help users search and apply for suitable jobs online.

“I hope job seekers will visit my Kickstarter page to learn more about my app and to offer their support. With their help, I will make Career Matchmaker a reality!” SHANE VOGELGESANG, FOUNDER

Here’s how it will work: After downloading the app to an iOS, Android, Windows or Blackberry device, Career Matchmaker will present the job seeker with a quiz that will ask about specific interests such as working with children, preferences of working indoors or outdoors, desire to drive a vehicle for work, etc. The user will click “Like” or “Dislike” for each question, and upon completion of the quiz, the app will suggest careers that match the user’s interests.

With a focus on a positive user experience, the Career Matchmaker app will also help job seekers in their employment searches. App users can search for jobs manually, or they can use the drop-down menu to view jobs in by industry category such as Transportation & Logistics, Oil & Gas, Airlines, Engineering, Aerospace & Defense, etc. In addition, the app would offer links to videos for areas of particular interest.

“I’m really excited about the possibilities Career Matchmaker has, but I need support from those who are equally passionate about the project,” says Vogelgesang. “I hope job seekers will visit my Kickstarter page to learn more about my app and to offer their support. With their help, I will make Career Matchmaker a reality!”

Supporters of the project can make pledges of any amount. Backers who pledge at least $10 will receive official notification when the app is available. Backers who pledge $30 or more will get the opportunity to test the app via TestFlight and will receive notifications when the app is available in multiple platforms. The anticipated launch date for the project is August 2015.

Google Moving Into Mobile Phone Credit Cards, SEO Company Queryclick.com Says It’s Got Its Eyes On The Money

Mountain View giant Google is said to be considering a move into mobile phone credit card payments, according to sources speaking to the Wall Street Journal.

Reports suggest that the search engine is poised to forge bonds with MasterCard and Citigroup so that Android users will have the ability to pay for purchases with the help of ‘near-field communications’ technology (NFC).

At the launch of the Nexus S, allusions were made to such a move, and fans of Android are welcoming the development. NFC mobile payments are also rumoured to be making their way to Apple devices in the near future, with many expecting subsequent iPhones to be equipped with NFC chips, while Orange has already joined forces with Barclaycard with the aim of offering contactless payments.

If the reports are true, Google could be set to open a new round of iPhone versus Android debates, claims SEO company Queryclick.com. A spokesperson said: “It’s a slow burning battle, but Google’s Android and Apple’s iPhones are set to continue squabbling for top position in the hearts of smartphones fans for years to come.

“While Apple may have had the initial advantage, technology geeks quickly embrace the flexibility and functionality of the Android operating system. New moves like this are exactly the kind of thing Google can use to its advantage, and if it beats Apple to the punch with contactless payments, it could cement its place at the top.”

The Nexus S is currently the only NFC ready phone on the market, although Samsung is slated to be releasing the Galaxy S II with this functionality in the summer. Apple CEO Steve Jobs has already announced NFC technology will not be included in the iPhone 5, stating his belief that the technology is still at too early a stage of its evolutionary process.

Microsoft Try to Beat Google At Its Own Game With Launch of Bing Android App Claim SEOs Queryclick.com

Digital experts Queryclick.com says Microsoft are brave to step into Google’s Android territory, but it’s a risk that could pay off.

With the recent release of its Bing app for Mobile Android, Microsoft proved it isn’t afraid of getting its hands dirty when it comes to the battle for smartphone supremacy.

The launch of Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 may have shaken up the playing field, but the software company has clearly been diversifying its efforts in an attempt to capture as many potential customers as possible – even if it is using competing hardware.

While the software company first launched the Bing app a few months ago, it was originally only available to Verizon Wireless customers. Perhaps this partial roll-out was a way for Microsoft to test the water, but if it was it seems the experiment has been deemed a success, as the app is now to be rolled out across Android.

A spokesperson for SEO company Queryclick.com revealed the belief that steps like this could give Bing the foothold it so desperately needs to gain more search market share. “Microsoft is still a software powerhouse, there’s no doubt of that, but the last year or two have been difficult for them in many ways.

“By failing to make the initial impact hoped in both the search and mobile markets, faith has been shaken somewhat. However, some of the features offered by Bing are great and are likely to continue to appeal to people who are happy to be re-educated when it comes to the search experience.
