The Mission of the Pageant is to celebrate the accomplishments of women, encourage them to be involved in community service, as well as the “Crown for a Purpose†to make a difference.
LPGA golfer Sydnee Michaels has been selected to participate in the 2019 Ms. America Pageant crowned as Ms. Hawaii America 2019. The 31 year old golfer who just recently underwent back surgery due to a disc herniation is expected to return to competitive golf in 2020. Michaels quoted “I am thrilled to be representing Hawaii on behalf of my mothers family and to fill my recovery time with charitable service and supporting young women and girls in sports.â€
Michaels has competed on the LPGA Tour since 2012 and was an All-American while attending at UCLA. “Sydnee really left a positive impression on our judges and we are thrilled to have her representing Hawaii at the 2019 Ms. America Pageant finals this August.†– Susan Jeske, Pageant CEO
