In an age when many users are active on a multitude of social networking sites, it makes sense that steps have been taken to link Yahoo and Facebook together in a bid to create a more efficient and cohesive web of networks. SEO experts QueryClick.com see this as a clever move by both sides, and is aware of the potential benefits of such a deal.

Yahoo/Facebook Deal Brings a Level of Consistency to Social Networking According to SEO Specialists QueryClick.com

Yahoo and Facebook have recently announced a site tie-up, reasserting further their relationship in the process.

The dealings between the two began last year with Yahoo’s integration of Facebook’s Connect, a service which allows one to log-in to other services using one’s Facebook ID, as well as allowing users to view what their friends have been reading, watching, and enjoying on the social networking site, and to subsequently receive recommendations from such friends.

Speaking of Yahoo’s integration of Facebook’s Connect, Vice President of Yahoo Jim Stoneham explained that:

“You will be able to see your friends’ activities on Yahoo! and share Yahoo! content…directly on your Facebook stream.”

With the extension of the partnership, users with a presence on Yahoo and Facebook have the ability to update both sites simultaneously as the information on one site is automatically transferred to the other.

QueryClick.com believes that such cohesion and consistency enhances the social networking experience, creating comprehensively accurate profiles for users.

UK SEO Experts QueryClick.com Welcome Google’s Bid To Build A Case Against Internet Censorship Acting As A Barrier For Global Trade

SEO experts Queryclick.com support Google’s attempt to argue against internet censorship as being detrimental to e-commerce and world trade.

UK SEO Experts QueryClick.com Welcome Google's Bid To Build A Case Against Internet Censorship Acting As A Barrier For Global Trade

Following a year of intense speculation surrounding the current state of online security and privacy concerns, Google is attempting to build a case against internet censorship as a barrier to global trade and an infringement of human rights.

Google recently called time on its mainland Chinese language search engine at the start of 2010 due to censorship issues and a cyber attack which was believed to have originated from China.

Now the global search giant has begun working with a number of US government departments to build a case to take to the World Trade Organisation; a move that UK SEO company QueryClick said is long overdue. A spokesperson from QueryClick said:

“Google’s attempt to build a case against internet censorship is highly topical and comes on the back of increasing public and political interest into how personal information is protected as well as the kind of sites global internet users can access.

“Whatever the outcome of the report, it’s encouraging to see Google taking a proactive stance by investigating the effects of internet censorship more closely and through the lens of highly important issues such as human rights.”

Robert Boorstin – Google’s director of corporate and policy communications – said that Google wants to show that censorship causes fewer search results to be returned which has the potential to stunt trade as well as restricting Google itself from competing with China’s other search giant, Baidu.

Streamline.net Reveals Business Owners Consider Making Money From Hobbies

According to research released by Streamline.net, a leading provider of value web hosting, the challenging economic climate has caused many business owners to consider raising income from their hobbies or pastimes.

The study of 1400 business owners* found that 42% have considered creating an enterprise from their hobbies or recreational skills in order to increase earnings. The down-turn in the economy has led more than half of SME owners to reconsider their work-life balance in general. 1 in 3 owners believe that since the recession they are more likely to launch a business unrelated to their primary business activity. For many, earning their living from a recreational pursuit is now seen as most likely to provide long-term happiness. The internet is seen by two thirds of owners to be the first port of call for launching an enterprise from a hobby or pastime.

Streamline.net’s study of British small and local businesses found that economic pressures over the past 2 years have led many to reconsider how they earn their living. 42% admit that the recession has directly led them to consider options for earning money from their hobbies or pastimes (such as sports, crafts or travel) whilst 23% report that they can already do so. 56% of firm owners would consider starting a new venture related to their hobbies rather than their professional capabilities.

Launching an internet-based business is seen as the most feasible, with 66% of owners saying they would focus their sales efforts online. Nearly all of those that currently make money from hobbies or secondary skills (22%), use the internet as the main means to source this income.

The data reveals that the recession has prompted 53% of small business owners to re-think their work/life balance, and 90% have reconsidered what motivates them about work. It appears that many have concluded that earning an income from hobbies or skills unrelated to their main business activity offers the most potential for happiness. The ability to earn a living from hobbies or pastimes is viewed as the most desirable scenario for 48%. 40% would still see the earning of maximum income from their existing business as the best route to happiness.

Steve Holford, Marketing Director at Streamline.net, said “Britain’s small business owners have weathered challenging times, however, the data suggests that the entrepreneurial spirit is very much alive. More owners are keen to start out in a totally new direction, and creating a hobby-based business is a common ambition. Plus with simple and affordable web hosting solutions it is easy to get a business online without the need for any technical expertise or significant investment.”

High Speed Broadband Necessary To Help Aid UK’s Economic Growth Claims SEO Company Queryclick.com

Following culture secretary Jeremy Hunt’s first major speech on the provision of internet in the UK, SEO experts QueryClick.com have welcomed plans for a superfast broadband network to be rolled out across the country.

High Speed Broadband Necessary To Help Aid UK's Economic Growth Claims SEO Company Queryclick.com

Branding the UK’s current internet availability as a “scandal” and “pitifully unambitious”, the Government aim to improve the availability and speed of the network in a bid to create one of the best broadband networks in the Europe, let alone the world.

Central to the Government’s ambitious reform of UK internet provision is the opportunity to create at least 60,000 new jobs and around £18bn to the country’s GDP; a welcome addition in light of growing unemployment and crippling public deficit that fuelled the global recession.

Search engine optimisation company Queryclick.com believes that the a more thorough broadband network would be greatly beneficial to online business. A spokesperson explained:

“Online business naturally relies on a fast and reliable internet connection. Currently some three million households do not have access to a basic 2Mbps connection.

“In our view, an added three million people potentially shopping online would greatly benefit the economy. There’s also going to be people amongst that number who have aspirations of starting their own business and in this day and age the internet is an integral part to the success of any start-up company.”

Although the Government were unable to give full details of how the superfast network would be achieved it is thought that gas, water and other utility companies would – by law – have to open their ducts to allow for improved fibre optic cabling.

Insure Your Company’s Positive Reputation with Internet Reputation Management

More and more businesses are making a preemptive strike when it comes to reputation management online. With the help of Internet Reputation Management, they are taking control of their reputation online with a powerful, preventative strategy that accentuates the positive and prepares for the negative. The California-based firm creates a customized plan for each client, a plan that includes a 90-day, money-back guarantee.

Insure Your Company's Positive Reputation with Internet Reputation Management

A preventative plan from Internet Reputation Management mirrors the firm’s successful repair plans in many ways, as both sculpt search engine results and utilize aggressive search engine optimization methods. A preventative reputation management online plan begins with the identification of existing positive information about the business online. Next, Internet Reputation Management creates additional positive information in the form of websites, blogs, social media profiles, reviews and press releases.

Lastly, the firm uses its proprietary search engine optimization techniques to push the positive information about the business to the top of search engine results for its name and relevant keywords. This preventative strategy allows the business to dominate the first pages of search results for the terms. If negative information does become attached to the search terms, the business already has a strong grip on the important first pages. Only about 3 percent of search engine users make it to the last result on the first page, much less the second page. Essentially, the preventative plan serves as an insurance policy for the business, one that covers its reputation management online.

This particular insurance policy comes with a money-back guarantee. Internet Reputation Management provides documented results within the time specified in the reputation management online plan for the business and according to its “Agreement for Services.” If the firm cannot deliver documented change in 90 days, the client receives a full refund.

A business can trust that Internet Reputation Management protect its reputation while working on its reputation management online. The firm never spams, and its strategies appear organic to both search engines and customers. All client names are kept confidential.

Internet Reputation Management: Based in Ventura, California, the firm helps businesses and individuals to take control of their reputation management online. A team of online reputation strategy experts, public relations professionals, search engine optimization engineers, SEO copywriters, bloggers, project management specialists and account representatives all work to this end. Bigmouthmedia Survey Reveals Public Believe Online Financial Advertising Is Dishonest

Bigmouthmedia has called upon the Financial Services Authority to introduce new rules to govern the selling of finance products online.

Bigmouthmedia Survey Reveals Public Believe Online Financial Advertising Is Dishonest

Speaking at the annual bigmouthmedia Finance Summit in London, finance strategist Chris Cathcart unveiled the results of a new consumer survey showing that 77% of web users believe that online financial advertising is neither honest nor straight-forward. The research – conducted in partnership with Financial Marketing UK – revealed that a clear majority of respondents mistrust the sector.

“The Financial Services Authority has to recognise that the web marketplace presents a unique range of challenges for the finance sector and that continuing to ignore the issue is no longer an option. They must step up to the plate and help organisations by providing a detailed set of guidelines governing selling online if we are to avoid what could end up as a compliance nightmare,” said Cathcart, bigmouthmedia’s senior finance strategist.

Consumers also displayed similar levels of mistrust and suspicion when it comes to the financial figures such as interest rates and potential savings gains displayed on websites. A resounding 65% of respondents categorically stated that they do not trust such numbers and cannot make decisions based upon them.

When asked to identify the product categories they found troublesome to research online, consumers identified the most significant challenges as arising when investigating investment opportunities. A compelling 65% said they found researching investment products either “fairly confusing” or “very confusing”, whereas 80% said they had little or no problems evaluating car insurance deals on the web.

Results from the research indicate that language could play a significant role in the confusion. An overwhelming 98% of respondents believe that the terms and conditions governing products and services sold online should be in plain English rather than the complex legal jargon currently used in the majority of contracts.

“The evidence couldn’t be any clearer: the majority of consumers distrust the finance sector and there is a lot of work to do to win that confidence back. Wording terms and conditions in a manner they can understand would be a major step towards achieving this,” added Cathcart.

Yahoo!’s Nokia Partnership Could Change Mobile Web Playing Field For Google And Apple Claims Seo Company Queryclick.com

The last few years have seen Yahoo! scrabbling to prove it’s still a relevant, and powerful company in the face of Google’s exponential growth, and SEO experts Queryclick.com think that the company’s new partnership with Nokia is a good step in the right direction.

Yahoo!'s Nokia Partnership Could Change Mobile Web Playing Field For Google And Apple Claims Seo Company Queryclick.com

While Yahoo! has lost a lot of ground when it comes to search, the internet company is quick to point out that it has its fingers in many pies. In fact, CEO Carol Bartz recently claimed that Google needed to up its plans for diversification if it wanted to continue to flourish in the future. Now, Yahoo! has revealed a new partnership with Nokia, a timely move when the growing number of mobile web users is taken into consideration.

The deal aims to prove expanded services for those accessing the internet on their mobile phones and will focus primarily on improving maps, navigation and location based functions. Email will also receive the benefit of the mind share and it is thought that the partnership will help both companies keep costs down.

Search engine optimisation company Queryclick.com SEO company Queryclick.com believes that the deal is a smart move for the internet company. A spokesperson explained: “This is a good choice for both Yahoo! and Nokia and we’re glad to see Yahoo! continuing to keep itself afloat by diversifying and keeping an eye on current trends.

“In our view, it’s good to see team ups that will help drive innovation towards the mobile web. This is a quickly growing market that is still open to innovation and if deals like this can shake up market leaders such as Google and Apple, then the benefits will appear for the users – in the form of better systems and functions.

The deal should also provide dividends for Nokia, which is the leading handset provider in a number of markets but languishes when it comes to America.

Yahoo! has been subject to some criticism about the amount of time its taking to turn around and recover but considering the death knell cries that surrounded the company only a year ago, Ms Bartz is fiercely defensive of what they have achieved. A recent, hard fought, deal with Microsoft has left the company with far more autonomy than was originally anticipated by industry authorities and SEO experts Queryclick.com say that smart partnerships will be the way forward for the company.

“Yahoo! can’t beat rivals such as Google when it comes to search, but the company has plenty more to offer.

SEO Company Queryclick.com Welcomes News That US Online Ad Spend Reached A Record High In The First Quarter

While the worldwide economy is still struggling in the aftermath of the global recession, recent research has revealed that the online advertising market has bucked trends and has continued to expand regardless.

SEO Company Queryclick.com Welcomes News That US Online Ad Spend Reached A Record High In The First Quarter

According to figures from industry bodies Interactive Advertising Bureau, PricewaterhouseCoopers and comScore, the market has experienced record breaking growth that takes total advertising spend for the first quarter of 2010 to the highest total ever recorded for an equivalent period.

The news is likely to be welcomed industry wide, and SEO company Queryclick.com has announced it is pleased to see that the sector is performing as well as it predicted. With an increase in US online advertising spend to the tune of 7.5 per cent, the SEO experts are confident that the figures will help companies realise that money is well spent in online ventures – even when budgets are tight.

A spokesperson for Queryclick explained: “It’s great to see that online advertising is proving its market strength despite the recent economic downturn. We hope that news such as this will help businesses recognise the many cost effective advertising options that are available online.

“The huge advances in technology have made it possible for business of all shapes and sizes to interact online, and we hope that this news is merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the ways in which online experiences will continue to improve for users and businesses alike.”

Coming after a tough year in 2009, when online advertising spend dropped in the US for the first time since 2002, the recent figures will provide a boost to the American economy as well as a boon to marketing departments championing online venues for their services.

Google Wise To Look To Move Further Into Voip Technology, Claims UK SEO Company Queryclick.com

With an ever-expanding empire in the world of search and online communication, some believed that Google was missing a string to its bow when it came to VoIP software. Recent news that the company is in negotiations to buy publically traded Norwegian company Global IP Solutions suggests that Google is planning to complete its arsenal with a new solution.

Google Wise To Look To Move Further Into Voip Technology, Claims UK SEO Company Queryclick.com

While the deal is still surrounded in mystery, it’s no surprise that Google has sought to takeover a company it has long been a customer of. What is more unsure is how existing customers, such as search engine and online rivals Yahoo! and AOL, will fit into the picture if Google gains control of Global IP Solutions.

SEO company Queryclick.com commend Google for its ability to spot opportunities. Queryclick explained: “As Google has continued to grow, it’s suffered from the same problems that face any rapidly and massively expanding business – the fact that the bigger you get, the harder you fall.

“However, the company has continued to make smart purchases and spot holes in the market, as well as showing its not afraid to take risks or write a project off as a failure if it doesn’t come to fruition, We think that the acquisition of a company like Global IP Solutions is a very smart move for the search engine – especially as it tries to move further into the mobile market.”

Google also bought VoIP provider Gizmo5 in November of last year, and this latest attempted acquisition suggests the search company hasn’t found its ideal solution yet. The new deal with Global IP Solutions is still awaiting approval from stockholders, although both businesses appear confident that approval will be granted.

“Companies now need to make sure search engine optimisation, advertising and PPC campaigns are able to interact successfully with the desires of users who are expecting more and more from their online services – whether it means added functionality, or sites that are easy to browse from mobile devices.”

Rackspace Urges UK Businesses To Update Legacy IT To Stay Ahead

Rackspace, the world’s leader in hosting and cloud computing, has released the findings of its latest commissioned research which indicates that UK businesses may be missing opportunities around new approaches to technology and continuing to over-invest in legacy IT.

Rackspace Urges UK Businesses To Update Legacy IT To Stay Ahead

The research, surveying over 400 IT decision makers, including 218 from the UK, revealed that 93% of the UK companies surveyed do not believe that they have a cutting-edge approach to adopting new technology.

The survey also highlighted that less than a third (28%) believe they are ‘early adopters’ of new technology approaches, such as on-demand computing, which may indicate a need for better education on the benefits of moving to new IT systems. This finding is reinforced by Forrester’s report* that around half of IT software budgets are spent on maintaining or upgrading old solutions. Therefore, it appears that companies are not investigating how new technologies can support and evolve their business.

Brian Thomson, EMEA Rackspace Managing Director commented: “Organisations are under intense pressure to innovate, but the majority simply don’t have enough time to do this. IT staff seem to be tearing their hair out, with almost half (48%) of the (UK) survey respondents keen to get involved in more proactive, strategic initiatives, but UK respondents indicated that less than a third (27%) of their IT team’s time is spent on them. However, we are starting to see an evolution in the way IT is managed for everything from servers to social media, with many organisations looking to external experts to free up time that will enable them to focus on developing the business.

“Our business is a good example of this evolution in outsourcing servers, where we deployed more than 2,000 servers in the last three months of 2009, taking the total number of servers we manage to almost 57,000.”

When considering server solutions, respondents stated reliability (78%) and utilisation (76%) as the most important, indicating that uptime and efficiency are top of today’s server management needs.

Almost half of the UK IT decision makers (41%) stated a lack of knowledge or experience as the biggest concern when calling IT supplier helplines, followed by time taken to access support (36%) a lack of overnight assistance (36%), and rude, unhelpful staff (30%). This indicates a real need for IT organisations to review the level of support they are providing, which can help to avoid customer churn.

Brian Thomson concluded: “These findings indicate to us that organisations are being hindered by in-house IT systems and that there is a real need to focus on strategic initiatives to help the business. We believe this means a new approach to technology is on the horizon as organisations look to hosting, cloud computing and SaaS to power corporate computing and boost competitive edge.”

Regain Control of Your Company’s Online Image with Internet Reputation Management

In today’s world, even a company that does business fairly and provides excellent customer service can find its online reputation tarnished by a single disgruntled customer. Such is the power of the Internet. When this happens, savvy companies turn to Internet Reputation Management, a California-based firm that specializes in repairing online reputations by re-engineering search results and deploying aggressive search engine optimization techniques. Internet Reputation Management incorporates its proprietary strategies into a customized reputation management online plan for each client, a plan that includes a 90-day, money-back guarantee.

May, 2010 – The customer is always right. This approach helps companies diffuse unhappy customers and retain a positive reputation in the marketplace. What happens, though, when an unhappy customer airs his grievances with a company online? Often, the customer does not relay relevant details or include the company’s efforts to make things right. His consumer reviews unfairly paint the company in an unflattering light, and those negative reviews make their way to the top of search results for the company’s name. Internet Reputation Management can help a company in this situation regain control of its online image by re-engineering search results and utilizing aggressive search engine optimization methods. Based in California, the firm never resorts to spamming to achieve results, and all reputation management online efforts are kept confidential and appear organic in nature to search engines and customers alike.

A reputation management online plan from Internet Reputation Management includes a multi-pronged approach: 1) Identification of existing positive information about the company online; 2) creation of additional positive information in the form of websites, blogs, press releases, reviews and social media profiles; 3) aggressive search engine optimization techniques to push the positive information to the top of search results for the company’s name and/or targeted keywords. The result: Negative information falls to the second and third pages – and beyond – of search results. Studies show that only about 3 percent of search engine users click on the last result on the first page, so imagine how few users make it to the second or third pages of search results.

Internet Reputation Management has more than 100 successful online reputation repair projects under its belt. The California firm also prides itself on accessibility, as many companies have made reputation management online situations worse by going with an overseas firm that applies canned techniques, often involving spam. Internet Reputation Management provides documented, positive results within the time specified in the reputation management online plan for each client and its “Agreement for Services.” If it cannot deliver documented change in 90 days, the client will receive a full refund. Case studies and client testimonials – for other services the firm provides, as reputation management clients are kept confidential – are available on Internet Reputation Management’s website, along with an FAQ and a helpful glossary.

Easy Saver Rewards Program Has Many Benefits The Easy Saver Can Take Advantage Of

If you like to save money without effort then you need to learn about the advantages of belonging to an easy saver rewards program. Let’s talk honestly about money for a moment. For most of us the hard times have hit our bank accounts. Unemployment rates are at an all time high and so are foreclosures. Those facts alone indicate the state of our economy; it’s a given that we’ve been forced to focus more on ways to save money. We’re learning to stretch our budgets to new limits, not because we want to, but because we’re forced to find ways to make every dollar count. It’s not surprising that the easy saver rewards programs are such a hit.

This article is intended to provide an overview of basic easysaver rewards programs. And after reading this you are sure to want to join a program so you can reap the rewards of membership; they’re that good.

I’ll start by explaining how the programs are formed and that will give you a good idea of how the rest of the plan works. To begin, a group of manufacturers, business owners, or merchants agree to be a part of the program. This means that each will offer top quality products and or services to members of the program at tremendous savings. When a merchant or manufacturer joins a quality easy saver rewards program there is a certain level of assurance that he will gain new customers. This is because his offers are provided along with others for quality products and services. As the merchant gains new customers they are likely to become loyal because they have discovered the quality provided by the company. At the same time that the merchant is benefitting he is also committing to continue to make offers to members that will provide them with great products at substantial savings.

As the consumer, when you join an easy saver rewards program you immediately become eligible to enjoy the benefits offered by the program – which is a collection of countless products and services provided by the businesses and merchants as described above. You’ll be able to enjoy savings on every day products, luxury items, and even travel related expenses such as car rental and hotel accommodations. While some people join these programs for short term purposes, such as to purchase new household items after a move, most join and remain members for years. It’s really easy to understand why they do. The easysaver rewards seem to get better as time goes on. Merchants are always providing new offers and new manufacturers continue to join the program and contribute.

Waveform Technology Applies to SolarCurrents Utility-Owned Program

Waveform Technology, a leading Metro-Detroit Internet service provider and data center operator, announced today their application to Detroit Edison’s SolarCurrents Utility-Owned Program. Detroit Edison is looking for multiple businesses with suitable rooftops or level ground area to provide space for solar power generation plants. Waveform Technology is one of several applicants to the program.

If selected by Detroit Edison to participate, Waveform Technology will allow Detroit Edison to install a solar power plant on the roof of Waveform’s Troy, Michigan Data Center. Waveform Technology plans to use the SolarCurrents program to increase the amount of renewable energy used to power the Michigan Data Center, one of Metro Detroit’s largest public data centers.

“American businesses are increasingly reliant on Internet services which need data centers: f r o m E-Mail and websites to mobile applications and disaster recovery,” said Waveform representative Noel Montales. “The problem is that we need a tremendous amount of electrical energy to power those services, and more often that not that electricity comes form ‘dirty’ sources, like coal and oil.”

“If Detroit Edison chooses the Michigan Data Center as one of the sites for the SolarCurrents Program then we’ll ensure that a fair portion of our electricity comes f r o m a completely clean and renewable source: the sun,” continued Mr. Montales. “It makes us greener, but more importantly, it makes the IT departments of our clients a whole lot greener!”

SolarCurrents is one of the largest distributed programs in the country, and Detroit Edison will generate 15 megawatts of renewable electricity through the Utility-Owned portion. More information about the SolarCurrents program is available at http://www.dteenergy.com/solar.

Waveform Technology Installs Metro Ethernet Service for Macomb County

Waveform Technology, a leading Metro Detroit area commercial data center operator and Internet service provider, is now supplying fiber optic Internet access to Macomb County. The new connection serves both Macomb’s 2,500 County Employees and MACnet, the county’s own private network, by providing redundancy to the current Internet circuit.

Macomb County is among the first customers to connect to a recently constructed expansion of Waveform Technology’s southeast Michigan fiber optic network.

Macomb County chose Waveform Technology for numerous reasons, but primarily because Waveform’s metropolitan fiber optic network provides complete path redundancy from the county’s primary Internet connection. “Owning our own network allowed us to meet the specific route stipulations that Macomb Country required,” said Waveform Technology representative Noel Montales. “It provides us more flexibility than
other ISPs that are just reselling local phone company assets.”

Price was also an important consideration, and Waveform’s independent network allows for Internet connections, and other metropolitan data services, for a fraction of the cost that other carriers charge.

Waveform Technology provisioned a 100Mbps fiber optic Metro Ethernet circuit for Macomb County. Metro Ethernet was chosen for its versatility and simplicity of design.

Highlighting the international expertise offered by bigmouthmedia’s offices both in the UK and across the US, Germany, Italy, Norway, Sweden, France and Spain, New Media Age attributed the company’s success, despite challenging trading conditions, to its reputation for digital marketing expertise and a strong social media offering.

Moving forwards the agency’s digital, technological and creative capacity is set to expand following bigmouthmedia’s merger with LBi, which is due to be completed in July. The combined agency will be the world’s largest marketing and technology agency. Announced in February the deal was brokered to address a changing climate where clients are increasingly looking for best in class agencies with the capacity to cover all aspects of digital marketing.

The India Project Announces to Investors Signs of Early Profit

The India Project, a Phoenix rising from the ashes of former failures of creators, Scott R. Asher and Mark Pringle, demonstrates a new model for internet profitability. Rather than attempting to make any single website, “the next big thing,” it is creating a network of one hundred monetized and SEO optimized niche websites. The corporation’s prospectus calls for exploiting the talents of computer programmers in India to optimize the network of one hundred websites within thirty days under the direct supervision of computer programmer and website developer, Scott R. Asher in India.

According to Asher, the India Project also demonstrates the power of social networking. Remarkably, Asher and Pringle have actually never met. Their relationship was founded online with the single burning desire to make money. Pringle, a former client of Asher stated, “[w]hen Scott first told me of his idea to create a massive network of sites using the talents of Indian computer programmers, I could see the enormous potential of this idea. Having floundered in real estate, foreclosing on my thirty rental properties and finding the inside of a bankruptcy courtroom, I was poised and ready to act on a ‘big idea.’” According to Asher, “the idea came to me during my darkest hour. I had been cast as a character in a Las Vegas episode of the program ‘Cops,” wrongly accused of stealing mail from my own apartment complex. While defending myself against these ridiculous claims, it occurred to me that my energy was being wasted within the legal system. Once I turned my focus back to my entrepreneurial interests on the internet, the idea of the India Project suddenly became clear. I’ve had many big ideas over the years and meeting Mark online and feeling his enthusiasm was crucial to actually implementing the idea.”
